Male Chastity: More Than 6 Years On

When I first discovered male chastity, I was curious. It’s something taboo, kinky, and something I wasn’t sure how to approach. More than six years later, it has become much more than I could have ever imagined. It has been an experience of trial and error, communication, discipline, frustration and a lot of learning.

In this post, I want to share my experience with chastity and what I’ve learnt and experienced over the last six years.

Chastity Device Sizing

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt is the importance of sizing.

Guessing the size of a chastity device is a big mistake. A poor fit will make wearing the cage uncomfortable and impractical, especially if you are hoping to wear it for long periods of time.

In the beginning, I was more excited on the idea of being locked in chastity for my Mistress, rather than finding the correct cage size. Overtime, I realised that comfort, hygiene, and security all depend on choosing a cage that properly suits your body.

Comfort & Cleaning

Another practical thing I have learnt is that comfort makes all the difference.

For me, I’ve found applying petroleum jelly around the ring of the chastity cage helps me feel more comfortable while putting the cage on and during the night. However, as petroleum jelly is not breathable, it can trap sweat and bacteria under the skin which makes cleaning even more important.

Regular cleaning is crucial and shouldn’t be ignored. My Mistress will specify when the device is to be cleaned, it’s removed and everything (apart from the lock) is cleaned using soap and warm water, a cotton bud is useful to clean the more intricate areas. After cleaning with soap and water, it’s left in a bowl of hot tap water for 15 minutes before rinsing it off with cooler water and towel drying.

This is something I wish I had taken more seriously at the beginning. It’s important to look after yourself properly and keeping the cage clean will help ensure chastity remains safe, sustainable and fun!

Starting With Silicone

My first device was silicone. At the time, it worked well for short-term wear and play. The flexible and lightweight material felt less intimidating and a good place to start.

After a while, I felt comfortable wearing a cage and wanted to try something that felt more secure, both physically and mentally.

Trying Plastic Devices

After silicone, I tried various plastic cages. This is where I really started to understand the importance of finding sizes that were most suitable for me.

I had a mixture of black, clear and pink cages in various shapes and sizes. Each one taught me something different about what worked for my body. I preferred devices that were more rigid and restricted access the most.

Plastic devices are lightweight, often discreet, and were useful while exploring chastity. However, after a while a plastic cage will eventually break. They were good while they lasted but after a couple of devices broke and I became more comfortable, it was time to upgrade.

Moving To Metal

Eventually, I moved to a metal cage which changed a lot for me.

The weight and appearance made the device feel more secure. It wasn’t just the physical sensation but the mental effect as well. As soon as I upgraded to a metal cage, it instantly felt more serious, permanent and felt more comfortable to wear for longer durations.

Chastity In Real Life

Something else I learnt is that chastity needs to work well within your lifestyle.

Based on our dynamic and circumstances, it’s not always possible for me to wear the cage. Instead of seeing that as a failure, we have found ways to keep the dynamic in place and minimise the time I spend unlocked.

When we are not physically together, we use a digital safe. This allows me to put the cage back on and lock the key away. Mistress will often request the cage is put back on within a specific timeframe and request a video showing the cage on and key being locked in the safe. This helps maintain the power exchange within our dynamic, even when it’s not practical to wear the cage all the time.

I feel it’s important to mention that chastity does not have to look the same for everyone. Don’t compare yourself to others. What matters the most is that chastity works within your own dynamic and supports your relationship, rather than something that becomes unrealistic and difficult to maintain.

How Chastity Makes Me Feel

Chastity makes me feel more submissive and connected to my Mistress. The cage keeps my focus where it should be. I feel more eager to please, more attentive, and more aware of how my behaviour affects our dynamic.

It has also made me more productive. There is a mental shift that happens when I am locked. My energy feels redirected. I become more focused on serving, improving, and doing things that please Mistress rather than being distracted on my own wants.

How Chastity Improved Our D/s Relationship

The biggest surprise over the years is how much chastity has improved our relationship.

It has helped us communicate better. Long-term chastity only works correctly on a strong foundation of trust, honesty, and openness. Over time, it’s helped encouraged us to discuss our dynamic, desires, limits, expectations, and feels in more detail.

Our intimacy has significantly improved. While that may sound strange to people that only see chastity as denial, it has made us feel closer and more connected than ever before, I’ve become more emotionally present and more focused on my Mistress.

Chastity has helped our power dynamic develop into a TPE. It provides more structure to my submission and gives Mistress another meaningful way to control, guide, and shape our dynamic.

Misconceptions About Male Chastity

There are a few misconceptions about male chastity that I think are worth addressing.

The first is that chastity means being locked permanently. For some people, that may be part of their dynamic, although it isn’t the only way chastity can work. In real life, it may not always be possible to wear a cage, and this doesn’t make the dynamic any less real.

Another misconception is that chastity is only about sex. In my experience, it has become much more about submission, obedience, trust, service, and connection.

Some assume chastity removes intimacy. For us, it has done the opposite. It has improved our intimacy because it has made me more focused, more communicative, and more emotionally connected to Mistress.

More Than Six Years On

After more than six years, male chastity has become a meaningful part of my life and submission.

I’ve never felt more connected to Mistress, more focused on serving her, and more secure in our D/s dynamic. From improved communication, strengthened our intimacy, and helped builder a deeper level of trust between us.

This journey has involved trial and error, different cages, broken devices, better sizing, cleaning routines, and a lot of learning. But each stage taught me something valuable.

And more than six years on, I am still enjoying chastity and learning more.
